Kanye West is working on his next album.

The 'Heartless' rapper has already "amazed" potential collaborators with ideas he has for his fifth album.

Producer A-Track said: "Kanye's taking a bit of time away from the limelight. But he keeps telling me all these ideas he has for songs and fashion bits. It's really amazing just how many ideas he has."

Hinting at the direction the rapper will take, UK star Mr Hudson said Kanye could be working on an "old school rap record".

For his fifth album, Kanye is also reportedly working with 19-year-old rapper, Soulja Boy, for some tracks.

Soulja Boy told website Rapup.com: "I'm working on Kanye's next album right now. He makes beats and I make beats, and right now I'm remixing a couple of records for him."

He also said Kanye will, in return, contribute work for his third LP 'The DeAndre Way'.

Fans were recently left disappointed when Kanye pulled out of his Fame Kills joint tour with Lady GaGa.
