Kiss are to record a new album.
The rockers are set to go into the studio for their first new record in 10 years, despite their reluctance to create new material because they don't expect fans want to hear it.
Frontman Paul Stanley told Billboard magazine: "The fact is, fans may tolerate the new songs, but it's the old ones you want to hear.
"I think Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant found that out. The Rolling Stones certainly know it. The Who certainly know it.
"So unless you're willing to go into the studio accepting that's how your album will be received, it will never match your expectations, I'm not sure it's worth the effort."
Despite touring extensively across the world, the band haven't released new songs since their 'Psycho Circus' album in 1998.
