Klaxons are recording their second album in a solar-powered recording studio.

We're proud to back the We Support Solar campaign. We will use The Premises solar-powered recording studio and we know how important solar power is to the delivery of a low carbon UK.

The band have announced they are ready to start work on the follow-up to their first LP, 'Myths of the Near Future', at The Premises, in London - the only studio in the UK which generates its energy from natural light.

It was only a few months ago the group's label Polydor rejected their initial recordings for the album, but the indie rockers - Jamie Reynolds, James Righton, Simon Taylor-Davis and Steffan Halperin - are thrilled their new efforts will be environmentally friendly.

A statement from the band said: "We're proud to back the We Support Solar campaign. We will use The Premises solar-powered recording studio and we know how important solar power is to the delivery of a low carbon UK."

The group have now pledged their support to the We Support Solar campaign which aims to highlight the upcoming tariffs on solar use.

The campaign is also being backed by 'Not Fair' singer Lily Allen.
