Liam Gallagher has named his new band Beady Eye.
The singer formed the group with his former Oasis bandmates - Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock - following the departure of his brother Noel last year, and they are now in the studio with producer Steve Lillywhite working on their debut album.
A picture of the band was posted on the official Oasis website, www.oasisinet.com, along with the announcement about the name.
Grammy Award-winning Lillywhite has worked with a host of musicians, including U2, Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads, Morrissey and The Rolling Stones.
Liam previously revealed he was looking forward to coming up with a new name for his band because Oasis is a "s**t name".
He said: " Oasis was a s**t name. I'm glad to see the back of it."
If the sessions with Lillywhite work out, Beady Eye will record their LP throughout the summer.
The 37-year-old singer said: "We're in the studio this April to see if this producer works out. If he does, we'll crack on with the album through June and July."
