Limp Bizkit have reformed.

The 'Rolling' rockers - comprising Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal - have put their differences behind them and will play a string of live shows later this year after guitarist Wes agreed to rejoin his former band.

This is why Limp Bizkit is back

The group issued a statement announcing the news saying: "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other.

"Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."

The band will kick off a world tour this spring - performing at several European music festivals - including their first-ever shows in Russia and also plan to record a new album.

The US stars, who formed in 1997, went on hiatus from 2004 to 2007, when they made a brief return minus guitarist Wes.

The musician first quit the band in 2001, returning briefly three years later, only to depart again in 2006.
