Morrissey has recorded a new duet with Chrissie Hynde.

The former Smiths star was joined by The Pretenders singer on 'Shame is the Name', the B-side to his forthcoming single 'I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris'.

It is not the first time the pair have worked together, previously collaborating on his 1991 single 'My Love Life'.

Morrissey also revealed on his website his new album 'Years of Refusal' will be released on February 23 2009. It is set to be his first new work since last LP 'Ringleader of the Tormentor' was released in 2006.

The iconic singer recently announced plans to write an autobiography in order to "correct the silly stories" that have been written about him during his career.
