Newton Faulkner got one of Britain's Queen Elizabeth's guards to play on his album.

Sadly, he wasn't still wearing the big red jacket and big hat, which would have been great

The 'Dream Catch Me' hitmaker wanted a regimented sound to the drums on his latest LP 'Rebuilt By Humans' and even got the soldier to bring his military instruments to the studio with him.

Newton revealed: "The drumming is great. We got someone in from the Royal Guards. He'd done Changing Of The Guard, then came by the studio. Sadly, he wasn't still wearing the big red jacket and big hat, which would have been great. He did have his proper military snare drum though."

The signer also revealed he moved house while writing the LP as he was worried he would get too distracted to work if he stayed close to his loved ones.

He added to This Is Nottingham: "I rented a room in Knightsbridge.. I picked an area of London that I didn't know anything about, and I didn't know anyone who lived there and didn't particularly want to go out in it. I ended up in this tiny little basement flat and got loads done. I was there for three weeks and rarely left.

"If I went somewhere I knew people and knew my way around, I'd think, 'I can sit here and work all night, or I can meet my mates and have a drink'. Of course I'm going to go out and have a drink. So I picked this place because it's a reasonable distance from anyone I knew."
