Pixie Lott has been working on her new album for four years.
The 'Mama Do (Uh Oh Uh Oh)' hitmaker - whose second single 'Boys and Girls' topped the British charts at the weekend - is thrilled to finally release her debut LP 'Turn It Up' because she has been writing and recording the tracks since she was at school.
She explained: "I'm really excited that people are finally going to hear it because I've been working on my album for about four years."
The 18-year-old songstress spent a long time on the record ensuring no two tracks were similar.
She told DigitalSpy.co.uk: "Two singles have a kind of retro vibe to them, but they're the only ones on the album that have that sound. The thing I like about the album is that every song brings something different. It's not one of those albums you put on and every song sounds the same. I hate albums like that.

"The next single's a song called 'Cry Me Out' and it's a proper ballad. 'Turn It Up' and 'Here We Go Again' are probably the most popular songs on places like MySpace. They've both had a really good response from the fans. I think maybe 'Turn It Up' could become the fourth single, but who knows?"
Pixie's debut album 'Turn It Up' is out now.
