Radiohead's new album will have a South American influence.
The 'Just' rockers have been touring the continent and taking tips from metal band Sepultura in embracing local culture in their sound.
Bassist Colin Greenwood explained: "We watched Sepultura at a Dutch festival lay low all before them with their dark Brazilian candoble music - Brazilian voodoo.
It's been very inspiring to see them every night and hear their timeless and beautiful melodies.Their conceptual approach to music is inspiring. Writing about industry, leisure, technology.
"They played with rainforest instruments made of palm twine and beans. It wasn't as loud, but it was quite disturbing."
However, the musician admitted the group are taking the new influence slowly.
He added: "On the ethnic instrument tip, Johnny, our guitarist, picked up a tormento in Chile. I haven't seen it, but I heard it rattle in a very big yellow plastic bag! It's like a washboard tambourine I think, but Thom Yorke, our singer, won't let him play it on 'Reckoner'."
The group have also been looking to their tourmates, legendary German act Kraftwerk, for inspiration.
Colin added: "It's been very inspiring to see them every night and hear their timeless and beautiful melodies.
