Scouting For Girls have branded their three BRIT award nominations "nuts."
Frontman Roy Stride says he is amazed that the 'She's So Lovely' hitmakers have been nominated for a trio of prizes - Best British Single for 'Heartbeat', Best Live Act and Best British Breakthrough Act - because he was such a fan of the prestigious ceremony in his younger days.
Florence And The Machine star Florence Welch said she fell on the floor and screamed when told she would be picking up the Critics' Choice Award
He said: "It's kind of nuts. I've watched the BRIT Awards since I was a kid. I remember on a school trip listening to Radio 1 to hear who'd won what. It's just weirdly surreal to be involved with it on whatever level."
Scouting For Girls were not the only act to be amazed at their nomination.
Florence And The Machine star Florence Welch said she "fell on the floor and screamed" when told she would be picking up the Critics' Choice Award.
She said: "I fell on the floor actually when I found out and screamed. Hopefully on the night there'll be less falling on the floor. I'm really excited and it's a real honour, it's still something I have to prove."
The BRIT awards take place at London's Earls Court on February 18.
