Snoop Dogg's Noel Deal

Snoop Dogg wants to give Noel Gallagher a record deal.

The 37-year-old rapper has been named creative director of Priority Records, a subsidiary of EMI, and is keen to make the former Oasis guitarist his first signing.

He said: "Would I sign Noel Gallagher? Hell yeah. I'm definitely trying to find a rock band right now."

If he does manage to get Noel - who quit the 'Live Forever' stars in August amid reports of in-fighting with the band's singer, his brother Liam Gallagher - a contract, Snoop also hopes he could persuade the rocker to duet with him.

Would I sign Noel Gallagher? Hell yeah. I'm definitely trying to find a rock band right now.

He added to NME magazine: "Would I collaborate with him? Yeah, definitely. Set it up... I love his style."

While in Oasis, Noel made no secret of the fact he wanted to record a solo album.

He said earlier this year: "I've got a lot of songs lying around and some of them are really great. But they're not Oasis songs. They're going to sit there and do nothing, so hopefully at the end of this tour I'm going to go and do something for myself."
