Morrison's Duet 'boredom'

Van Morrison only collaborates with other artists when he is "bored".
The 63-year-old musician - who has previously recorded with a host of musical stars, including Tom Jones and The Chieftains - insists he only works with other stars when he is feeling uninspired.
He said: "There is not really anyone else I want to work with. I was doing those kinds of things more out of boredom. I'm not bored anymore, so I don't really need to do that. I'm just getting back into doing what I want to do, with handpicked musicians that I want to work with."
Morrison also admitted he doesn't like 'Brown Eyed Girl', despite it being one of his most famous hits.
He said: "'Brown Eyed Girl' - I didn't perform for a long time because for me it was like a throwaway song. I've got about 300 other songs I think are better than that."
The musician prefers performing his newer songs to the ones which first made him famous, adding he only plays his popular hits when he wants to finish quickly.
He added to Time magazine: "My favourite type of audience can follow me when I start stretching out. So I can open it up more rather than play songs that they know from the radio, which is something I usually do when I want to get offstage very fast."
