Ed Sheeran's went on a gambling spree bankrolled by a Japanese businessman.

The 'Lego House' singer's recent Las Vegas casino blowout was entirely funded by a rich Google executive, who insisted on paying for his blackjack session because Ed's debut album '+' has provided the perfect soundtrack to his lovemaking.

The red-haired star told The Sun newspaper: "I said, 'I don't know why you are doing this but cheers'. At the end he said, 'I didn't want to tell you I knew who you were but I have sex to your CD every single day.' "

Ed, 22, is supporting his close pal Taylor Swift around the US on The Red Tour, and he joked they have become so close they have taken to calling themselves "Frodo and Legolas" - presumably because the travelling buddies from 'The Lord of the Rings' bear a vague resemblance to the musical duo.

Meanwhile, Taylor, 23, has said touring with Ed has been one of the best experiences ever since and having a close friend along for the ride makes everything more fun.

She told UK radio station Capital FM: "It's been amazing. I think for both of us being on tour together and being really close friends, it's the most fun experience you could ever have.

"Everybody's always really close on a tour, but if you start out and you're already close, it just makes it less like work, having your friends out there."
