Eminem referenced his battle with drug addiction during his Reading Festival set last night (24.08.13).

The iconic rapper was headlining the second day of the event and told fans he couldn't "get f***ed up" with them anymore but wanted to treat them to songs from earlier in his career.

He said: "Obviously, Reading, I can't get f***ed up with you all. I know that's f***ed up. But can I take you back to when I did get f***ed up?"

He then went into 1999 hit 'My Name Is', which segued into 'The Real Slim Shady' to the crowd's delight.

Eminem - whose real name is Marshall Mathers - was also joined by Dido for a surprise duet of their single 'Stan' during a set covering the hip-hop star's biggest hits.

He also treated fans to 'Fast Lane' and 'Lighters' - two tracks he recorded as Bad Meets Evil, the duo he was part of with Royce da 5'9" in the late nineties.

Before Eminem's show, Chase And Status' main stage set was marred by crowd trouble with MC Rage repeatedly telling fans to step back because fellow punters were getting "crushed".

He told fans: "A lot of people are being crushed and we can't carry on. Reading are you with me? Then f***ing move back then."

Meanwhile at Leeds Festival, Green Day close the second day as they paid tribute to The Who's 'Live At Leeds' album by covering the legendary rockers.

As well as a rendition of punk anthem 'My Generation', Billie Joe Armstrong also led the crowd through the band's epic multi-part track 'A Quick One While He's Away' before the trio performed their own record 'Dookie' in full.

Tonight (25.08.13), Eminem will bring Leeds Festival to a close while rockers Biffy Clyro will headline the final day at Reading.
