Muse to go soft?

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has hinted his relationship with actress Kate Hudson could lead to a softer musical direction for the band.
Matt Bellamy's fledging romance with Kate Hudson could see Muse's music take a softer direction.
The British 'Knights Of Cydonia' rocker - who has been dating the 'Nine' star since June - feels his songwriting has become more "open and personal" since he found love with the US beauty, which could signal a change in style for the hard rocking group.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I've been through a lot of personal changes, so some of the songwriting might be a bit more open and personal."
Matt's personal life seems to have a huge impact on his music, as the frontman recently admitted his split from girlfriend Gaia Polloni at the end of 2009 led to him write a set of songs which would suit more "intimate" performances.
He said: "I feel like we can't go much bigger in terms of the kinds of concerts we're playing. Weirdly, that seems to have coincided with my personal life destabilising about a year ago. I split from a relationship. I was doing lots of self-analysing.
"I sense that that's going to lead to a writing project that will be more personal, rather than talking about grand political concerns. That itself might lead to material that's more suitable for smaller venues."

I can't wait to hear Muse's rendition of "I'm a Barbie Girl"... Very glad I heard them live when they were still decent
