will.i.am has moved his record label to the UK.

The 'Bang Bang' hitmaker was so inspired by the British music scene during his time as a judge on 'The Voice' he is setting up in the UK permanently and hoping to find "fresh" new talent to sign to his Music Group banner.

He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "My label is now based in the UK. I had a label over in America, Fergie signed to my label and LMFAO and Macy Gray and Black Eyed Peas and I thought, you know what, I want to base my label out in the UK, because I like this place, it's fresh.

"Why was I making music in America when it succeeds first in the UK? That's dumb. I've got a global perspective, thinking global and acting local."

The superstar producer was left reeling when his protégé and bookmakers' favourite Leah McFall lost out to Andrea Begley on the final of 'The Voice' in the UK, and it is thought the singer will be his first British singing.

will.i.am recently hinted he was going to get Leah in the studio as soon as possible to write a track with her.

He tweeted: "@leahmcfallmusic we need to get to work...there is winning #theVOICEuk & then there is making hits...that's how we will win...#youAREamazing (sic)."
