will.i.am wants to work with Taylor Swift because she is "dope".

The 'Scream and Shout' hitmaker has recorded tracks with a host of stars including Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears, and now he's got his sights set on the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer.

He told E! news: "Taylor Swift is dope. I'd like to work with Taylor Swift. I like the girl. We could do something really fantasy-like. That would be cool."

will.i.am - who rose to fame in the Black Eyed Peas - first signed to a record label as a teenager, and claims his creative streak has been with him from a very young age.

He said: "I was always that one kid who everyone said, 'Look what William did,' and everyone gathered around.

"The teacher was always like, 'Wow, that's wonderful William,' and put it on the board for everyone to see it. That's where the confidence came from."

will.i.am is also keen to nurture new talent with his Music Group record label, with his ultimate aim to own his own workshop.

He said: "I want to walk into a building and say, 'That's my building. It'll be arts and crafts on steroids."

The 'Where is the Love' singer also said earlier this week he's planning to move Music Group to the UK.

He said: "I had a label over in America ... and I thought, you know what, I want to base my label out in the UK, because I like this place, it's fresh.

"Why was I making music in America when it succeeds first in the UK? That's dumb. I've got a global perspective, thinking global and acting local."
