'Diamonds In The Sky', sees Husky Rescue take their unique blend of widescreen electronica and fragile folk into altogether darker territories, whilst continuing to capture the enthralling melodies and enchanting moods for which they are rightly lauded.Husky Rescue, the brainchild of musical maestro Marko Nyberg, first entered the public consciousness with a series of (now highly collectable) vinyl releases on Catskills records. Hailing from Finland, their blend of lush melodies and entrancing soundscapes struck a chord with the public and the press alike. As demand grew, Husky Rescue transformed from a studio project to a full live band, fronted by the distinctive ethereal vocals of Reeta-Leena Korhola. The band have since toured widely across Europe and the USA, and are currently gigging in America as part of the Lollapalooza tour. Whilst their debut album Country Falls was gelled by a soothing ambience, Ghost Is Not Real, is carried along by a much more melancholy mood altogether. This edgier sound is gently hinted at by ‘Diamonds In The Sky', with the single providing the perfect appetiser for the delights to come.
