Mariah Carey's Christmas Album Scores Number One

Christmas has come early for Mariah Carey - her new holiday album has stormed to the top of America's Billboard R&B Albums and Holiday Albums charts.

The singer released Merry Christmas II You last week and the album is already a bestseller.

The compilation of festive tunes also scores a high entry on the Billboard Top 200 Albums countdown at four.

Carey's holiday songs also dominate the Holiday Singles chart - All I Want For Christmas Is You and Oh Santa! currently sit at numbers one and two, respectively.
