I’d like to pretend I’m excited by the fact that Michael Jackson is coming to the UK again, but with him announcing that it’s the final time he’ll play here, and the dire state of my bank account, I can’t help but worry that I might miss my final chance.
However, his announcement didn’t seem to disappoint the 1,000 screaming fans who turned up to listen to this bizarre five minute speech at London’s O2 last yesterday.
The superstar revealed this summer’s gigs will be his curtain call during a bizarre appearance at the O2 arena in South East London. Emotional Jacko, 50, said: “This is it. I mean it. This is it.”
The star, who is receiving treatment for a severe MRSA-type infection, added: “When I say this is it, I mean this is it, because...” He then paused, placed his hands over his heart and bowed his head. Wow, I love him.
Jacko is beleved to be performing at least 10 shows at the O2 arena this July, but hopefully he will have found a watch by then, as he kept fans waiting for 1 and a half hours before his announcement yesterday.
What’s even stranger, is that the compare for the whole shebang was mr Dermot O’ Leary who introduced the star who pranced onto stage giggling, waving and blowing kisses.
The Thriller singer gushed: “I love you so much. These will be my final show performances in London. I’ll be performing the songs my fans want to hear.
“This is the final curtain call. I’ll see you in July. And I love you. You have to know that. I love you, from the bottom of my heart.” I love you too Jacko!
The shows, his first in the UK since 1997, begin on July 8 and extra dates are likely if there is demand, which we’re hoping will happen, for Jacko’s sake as he has huge debts hovering over him at the moment, but at £5million a gig, I’m sure he can pay off a couple!

I'm sure the pubs will be taking bets on how many shows are postponed or outright cancelled. I can't wait to see how many liens are filed by all the people he has stiffed over the years... READ MORE
