Shock Horror! Peter Andre Lands A Record Deal

Now, isn’t this convenient…? Despite denying that his split from Katie Price was a publicity stunt, Peter Andre has only gone and bagged himself a new record deal.

Now, if we were the sceptical type we would think that Pete has done pretty well for himself after ditching his ex glamour model wife, now that representatives for the singer have confirmed that he has finalised a contract that was four-weeks in the making.

Four weeks in the making you say, hmm, well the pair split two weeks into those four weeks right? Just enough time to create a media storm around the Greek God before, hey presto, a music career emerges.

Anyone who watched ITV2's Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter Stateside, would have seen a sneak peek at some of the *ahem* songs he was working on in the studio, including a particularly touching one about stepson, Harvey. But we’re not going to accuse Pete of splitting for publicity just yet, because earlier this year, it was reported that three major record labels were fighting to sign Andre after being impressed with his new material. Woo!

But Pete still fancies cashing in on his new celebrity status, and has decided to ‘tell all’ in his New! Magazine column this week. Sky news reported Pete as saying;  "I don't really want to go into any detail as it's all so raw and I'm completely crushed. I would, however, like to take this opportunity to set the record straight about one thing.

“You may have read or heard that this is a publicity stunt, but I can assure you it's not. How anyone could think I would pretend to split up from my wife to grab headlines is beyond me. It's just sick."

Oh well Pete, I guess only time will tell.
