'Perfect Love' – First Single From New Album Simply Red release their long-awaited new single 'Perfect Love' on October 10th followed by the album 'Simplified' on October 17th. Irresistible, upbeat and distinctly Latin in tone, 'Perfect Love' was written by Mick Hucknall and produced by Andy Wright. It boasts rich Cuban flavour, a guest vocal appearance by the Havana-based singer Danae and looks set to continue Simply Red's impressive string of chart successes. "It's a song I'd been revisiting on for a while," says Mick. "Just working, working, working at it in a bid to get the definitive take. The extra bit of genius came from Andy Wright. He took the idea of the Latino concept and totally brought it to life".

The eagerly anticipated new album takes familiar and deservedly well-loved tracks from the band's back catalogue and represents them in a stripped-down and, as the title attests, simplified fashion. It also features their take on the Leon Russell classic 'Song For You'.

The track listing for the album includes some of their best known songs: Something Got Me Started, Holding Back The Years, Your Mirror, Fairground, Smile, Sad Old Red, For Your Babies and Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye.

'Simplified' follows on from 2003's hugely successful, platinum album 'Home', which sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide and was the first album on their own Simplyred.com label. The album also featured the top ten singles 'Sunrise' and 'You Make Me Feel Brand New'.

Simply Red will tour the UK this autumn, including three nights at the Royal Albert Hall.
