The Wonder Stuff's brand new single Blah Blah Lah Di Dah will be released on 30th January. Written by the whole band whilst they were recording the new album Suspended By Stars (due for release 20th February), it is representative of the true to form greatness for which the band are renowned. Mixed by the legendary Paul Tipler (80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Suede, Stereolab, Frank Black, Elastica, Star Sailor), Blah Blah Lah Di Dah, which might be interpreted as a song about the 'lottery thug' sounds like it could have come from any era of The Wonder Stuff's career (including Eight Legged Groove Machine, Hup, Never Loved Elvis, Construction For The Modern Idiot) but has a much more contemporary sound as befitting the first decade of the 21st century.February 2006 sees the welcome release of Suspended By Stars, the brand new album from The Wonder Stuff. Suspended By Stars follows on from the band's 2004 release, Escape From Rubbish Island, their first studio album for eleven years. Miles Hunt (vocals/guitar) and Malc Treece (guitar/vocals) are still front and centre of The Wonder Stuff. Adding to their ranks are former RDF bass man, Mark McCarthy, NY rockers', Love In Reverse drummer Andres Karu and Erica Nockalls on fiddle. With 17 top 20 singles and 3 top 10 albums under their belt, Suspended By Stars will be released on the 20th Anniversary of The Wonder Stuff forming. As well as the band's 20th Anniversary, this year also sees the publication of the updated version of Martin Roach's book The Eight Legged Atomic Dustbin Will Eat Itself, which includes a new interview with The Wonder Stuff frontman Miles Hunt. January 2006 will also see the DVD re-release of The Wonder Stuff's 'rockumentary' Welcome To The Cheap Seats, followed by a double CD release of Wonder Stuff classics and previously unreleased rarities on Universal's Classic and Collectables label.

In March 2006 The Wonder Stuff will undertake a UK tour with some very special guests.

2006 really does look to be a milestone year in the history of The Wonder Stuff. In addition to the new album and all the activity surrounding that, in June 2006 the BBC will begin broadcasting a 26-episode children's cartoon entitled Underground Ernie for which the group composed and performed all the music. Already heralded as Thomas The Tank Engine for the new millennium, Underground Ernie, set on the London Underground, features talking tube trains with characters relating to each line. The main character, Ernie, is played by Gary Lineker and also featured is a Brummie busker who bears an uncanny resemblance to Miles Hunt!
