Miranda Cosgrove

Miranda Cosgrove, singer, actress and star of hit Nickelodeon show iCarly, will release her new EP, entitled High Maintenance, on March 15, 2011, on Columbia Records.

The five-track EP is Miranda’s first collection of songs since her 2010 debut album, Sparks Fly, which debuted inside the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 Chart.  The High Maintenance EP is a pop-rock whirlwind, complete with sing-along choruses, candy-coated vocals and dance floor friendly beats.

The infectious hit lead single “Dancing Crazy,” written by Max Martin and Avril Lavigne, has already debuted on the Top 40 chart after only three weeks at radio. Miranda Cosgrove is proving to be a renaissance woman at the tender age of seventeen.

On February 8th, Miranda will appear on Today on NBC to discuss her High Maintenance EP and the upcoming new episode of iCarly on February 12th. Miranda is also gracing the cover of Seventeen magazine’s March issue, which is on stands now.

Title track “High Maintenance” sees Miranda trading tongue-in-cheek vocals about her carefree, fun-loving ways with Rivers Cuomo, who contributed as a songwriter and producer to the track. From the sentimental ballad “Kiss You Up” to the explosive, electronic “Sayonara” this album shows Miranda’s true versatility as an artist embracing multiple styles and influences.

Miranda and her band are currently on the road lighting up dark winter nights in cities from coast to coast with her Dancing Crazy Tour. Greyson Chance, YouTube sensation and the first artist signed to Ellen DeGeneres' record label, eleveneleven, is opening on all dates.

Born and raised in California, Miranda Cosgrove, the chic, multi-talented 17-year-old, has been moving full throttle ahead as her Hollywood star has been quickly rising. She gave a charming performance of holiday favorite “Last Christmas” during TNT’s prestigious annual Christmas in Washington special last December.

In addition to releasing Sparks Fly earlier this year, which resulted in a Teen Choice Award nomination for “Breakout Female Artist” and a riveting NBC Today Show performance on Rockefeller Plaza, Miranda’s film and TV career has been moving full throttle ahead in 2010.

She contributed her voice to the Golden Globe nominated animated summer blockbuster film Despicable Me, signed on as a spokeswoman for Neutrogena, made an appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and guest starred on CBS's award winning drama The Good Wife.
