Nabiha

Europe is buzzing about ‘Never Played The Bass’, the infectious horn-laden song from Danish singer and songwriter Nabiha.

Having gone gold, as well as giving her a 5th consecutive top 10 airplay hit in her native Denmark, the track is set to introduce Nabiha and her fresh sound to the UK when it’s released in January 2013.

The track uses the iconic line ‘the music don’t feel like it did, when I felt it with you’ from Womack & Womack’s smash hit ‘Teardrops’.

Nabiha co-wrote the track which shot to #2 on the UK Urban Chart and #3 on the UK Club Chart with remixes courtesy of Wideboys (Nelly Furtado, Labrinth), Sunship and more.

Nabiha has enjoyed six top 10 singles in Denmark including her collaboration with Pitbull and Fatman Scoop ‘Raise The Roof’ which topped the charts around the world earlier this year.

‘Never Played The Bass’ has been number 1 in Denmark on the Domestic Airplay Chart and number 3 on the Overall Airplay Chart. She’s now in the UK working on her forthcoming album which follows the top 3 Danish album ‘More Cracks’. Songs from the album have been featured in hit US TV shows such as Basketball Wives, Basketball Wives of LA, Mob Wives and on Soap/Disney TV.

Nabiha has also been announced amongst the winners of the 2013 European Border Breakers Awards, celebrating border breaking talents in European pop music, alongside Emeli Sande, Niki & The Dove, Of Monsters & Men and more.

The winners will receive their awards in a televised ceremony hosted by TV personality and musician Jools Holland on 9 January 2013.

With a name that means ‘Noble’, she’s the beautiful, talented girl, with the incredible Afro and lucky gap between her teeth.
