‘Diamonds from Sierra Leone' has got off to a flying start both here and in the US. The track was leaked to radio two weeks ago and is currently blasting out of airwaves across the UK.The single boasts one of the most compelling samples in music history, the legendary ‘Diamonds Are Forever' by Shirley Bassey..but with a twist. Kanye takes production to the next level, firmly putting his stamp on this amazing first single. Lyrically, Kanye is spitting them out with his typical brand of razor sharp humour. ‘Diamonds from Sierra Leone' tells the story of his first 12 months in the music industry. "Now all I need is ya'll to pronounce my name, is Kanye but some of my plaques still say Kayne!"The video for the single will be shot in Prague next week, it will be directed by Hype Williams so we can expect nothing short of a masterpiece.The single is taken from Kanye West's highly anticipated second album, Late Registration, out July 11th.
