Jay Z and Beyonce take to the stage
The first couple of Music, Jay Z and his wife, singer Beyonce Knowles are to headline this years BET awards taking place on June 28th.
The R&B songstress has been nominated for five awards this year for her double album I AM....Sasha Fierce. Other big contenders at the coveted award ceremony are incarcerated rapper TI, Lil Wayne and T Pain.
50 reaches out to Fans
Having already supplied his fan base with a free mixtape this week only to follow up with another one in early July, rapper 50 Cent has appealed to fans to help him out in the shooting of his new video which will be taking place this week in Brooklyn.
The video for OK Alright which features on his recently released mixtape Angel of War will be shot tomorrow and hopeful extras can find out about appearing along side the G Unit leader through his website Thisis50.com.
Fabolous bails on Def Jam Tour
After reports circulated last month of a Def Jam Tour featuring Rick Ross, Fabolous and Juelz Santana, Brooklyn rapper Fabolous has decided not to join his fellow label mates on the two week tour.
Promoting his new album Loso’s Way, Fabolous has decided to do his own thing, aspiring to secure more intimate venues for his interaction with fans. “I also wanted to do a show with a band...Some hip-hop acts need to try that as well, 'cause it's really instrumental...I just wanted to do something different, so I'm not gonna be on that tour, but look for me to be out on the road late July," he explained.
Clipse link with Keri Hilson
One of the hottest commodities in R&B Keri Hilson will be joining Virginia dup the Clipse on their new album Till the Casket Drops.
The brothers who have been working closely with super producer and Def Jam founder Rick Rubin on this their first album since 2006. The track called Eyes on Me is produced by The Neptunes who were instrumental in the emergence of the duo.
