In our midweek look at what is going on in the world of Urban Music, Chris Brown is finally sentenced, Juelz Santana arrested, 50 Cent Associate arrested and drugs found in D Block rappers apartment. A day of doom and gloom in Hip-Hop. Let’s hope Friday brings something a bit brighter to report on.

Brown Sentenced Yesterday

Chris Brown was finally sentenced for the February altercation between himself and his former girlfriend Rihanna on the Eve of this years Grammy Awards.

The R&B singer was sentenced to five years probation and six months community service which he will carry out in his home state of Virginia.

The Umbrella singer was not in attendance at the sentencing but the Judge also ruled that Brown should stay at least 100 m away from Rihanna unless they are both present at an industry event.

Julez Santana Arrested

Dipset member, Juelz Santana was arrested  after police were called to the rappers residence in Teaneck, New Jersey yesterday morning.

 The wife of the Harlem based rapper had called the police after Julez had allegedly threatened to kill her.

No injuries stemmed from the incident but Santana was arrested on domestic battery charges but was later released.

G Unit Affiliate Arrested

A long time affiliate of G Unit who was arrested earlier this year for shooting a gun in Hartford Connecticut faces further court drama now after being arrested for assault this weekend.

Dwayne McKenzie who resides at the Farmingdale mansion owned by 50 Cent was named as an assailant along with another woman, Michelle Krzykowski,  after a unnamed female who had been visiting the residence of the rapper fled the mansion after being assaulted by the two.

The couple were both charged with second degree assault charges after the female spurned the advances of McKenzie.

Krykowski of Connecticut turned 21 yesterday is due in court on the 1st of September and McKenzie is due in court next Tuesday. The victim received staples in her head from the attack.

Cops Find Drugs in Apartment

Cops found heroin and marijuana in a Yonkers apartment which is leased to D Block rapper Jadakiss after a raid last weekend.

Two arrests were made after police stopped a young man exiting a car outside the residence in Westchester County who smelled of marijuana and his associate was also arrested after attempting to distract the officers present.

A search warrant was issued for the apartment which is legally rented to the rapper and the drugs uncovered. Even though the case is still open and investigations are still continuing, Jadakiss is not wanted for questioning.
