In today’s Daily Rap we talk Game’s new album and just how much he owes his lawyers, rapper J R Writer  shot in the Bronx, a legend confesses her lies and how Master P is hoping to continue his charity work.

Game Update

The Game who is currently hard at work recording his fourth studio album is set for a December release. R.E.D which is being released through BWS/Aftermath will hit shelves on December 1st. The rapper is currently being sued by his former legal representation, Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert for almost $35,000 for failing to pay lawyers fees stemming from charges brought against the rapper for threatening someone with a gun in a school zone. What was tipped to result in a five year sentence was reduced to only eight days due to the work of his team.

JR Writer Shot

Former Diplomat JR Writer was shot on Sunday evening in the Bronx, New York. The rapper who had been recording where he has allegedly been doing so for the past three months was approached by two gunmen who took aim. The rapper who was with a couple of friends said in a statement to XXL magazine that he believes had the police not arrived on the scene the outcome may have been fatal for those involved as it was the sirens that disturbed the assailants from taking fire again.
Writer who is signed to Babygrande Records is said to be recovering.

Roxanne Shante Admits to Lies

The legendary female lyricist Roxanne Shante came under fire recently for lies she has told in regards to her education, which was allegedly funded by her former record label Warner Brothers and which resulted in the artist receiving a Doctorate in psychology from New York’s Cornell University. In a recent statement the iconic Hip-Hop star has in fact denounced all previous statements made implying that she did in fact secure a Doctorate.

"It is very easy to criticize someone and I have left myself open to criticism," she said in an open letter. "All I can say to that is before you level any further criticism and cynicism, walk in my shoes. I am making this statement to apologize to the people that truly care about me for any angst that this situation has caused, and to thank them for their continued support...Like all of you, I am human and may have not made the correct decision all the time. And, like anyone else, I would like to think that my entire life or career is not judged by one error or mistake."

Master P Does His Bit


Rapper and entrepreneur, Master P AKA Percy Miller is once again doing his bit for charity. The music mogul has joined forces with the OneMillionGifts organization to help clothe over one million homeless people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The No Limits founder who was a welcomed addition to the charity has also made a generous donation to benefit America’s homeless. "Eight years ago, I realized that education saves lives and being charitable and helping those in need has given me a profound happiness in my life, as there is nothing more rewarding than bringing smiles to children who are less fortunate."
