In today's news, Nas is another one caught up owing the tax man, rapper Saigon mourns the death of his mother, Ludacris and his Foundation being sued and DMX show turns into total mayhem

Nas Owes $2.5 million

According to documents that have surfaced this week, rapper Nas is in hot water with the tax man after amassing a bill for the 2006/7 period of almost $2.5 million.

The rapper who is also currently embroiled in a bitter divorce with estranged wife and mother of his son, Kelis made claim in court during the discussion of alimony and paternity for Kelis and the couples child that he earns in excess of $115,000 a month.

Obviously the IRS want their cut before Kelis gets hers.

Saigon Mourns

Rapper Saigon announced on Monday the passing of his mother. The Just Blaze associate who recently released his first album was inevitably devastated about the loss of his mother, which comes shortly after he released a track which touched on parenting ‘Fatherhood’.

The rapper became a father for the first time last year and will celebrate his child's first birthday this week.

Ludacris Sued

A lawyer in Atlanta is suing Ludacris and his Ludacris foundation for a debt of $61,000 after fighting an negligence and injury claim brought against the organization and its founder in 2007.

Carlton Fields P.A is also suing for out of pocket expenses which It advanced the defendants in the said case.

The Atlanta rapper is currently concentrating on his screen career which sees him star in two movies this year, the Brin Hill directed Ball Don’t Lie which is due out in November and he also appeared in Gamer which didn’t become the box office smash it was expected to, like the previous movies the rapper has starred in, Crash, Rock n Rolla and Hustle and Flow.

DMX Show Nightmares

A scheduled show in Colorado Springs this past weekend ended up in total mayhem when rapper DMX turned up late to perform. The troubled performer was told he would not be allowed to perform when he arrived at the venue. Fans had already been informed by organizers that DMX would not be performing, but when the rapper finally turned up, security told him he was not allowed to take to the stage and threatened to arrest him.

What then ensued was a fracas which resulted n DMX’s publicist being injured and DMX being knocked to the ground. It is unclear as to why X was told he couldn’t perform but reports are circulating that the reason DMX was refused the chance to perform was because the organizers, the non-profit organization American Charities couldn’t afford to make the final payment of their agreed contract with the rapper.
