Jamie Hartman - Ben's Brother

Jamie Hartman - Ben's Brother

With ear-friendly musical arrangements reminiscent of The Feeling and Take That, Ben's Brother are a five-piece band from London currently building up to the release of their second album Battling Giants on May 11.

The band's fourth single Apologise is an upbeat and colourful number that looks destined for the charts.

Having narrowly missed out on an Ivor Novello award for songwriting last year, its no surprise that frontman Jamie Hartman can string together a good tune.

It's a great tune in fact. With a ridiculously infectious chorus, the song mixes sparse, emotional verses with a full-sounding, climactic end section that together make it an incredibly listenable beast of a pop record.

Some will find it too nice, others will merely think they've stumbled upon a Take That b-side; one thing's for sure though, this is a strong number with genuine pop blood rushing through its youthful veins.

Co-written by Aussie superstar Natalie Imbruglia, Apologise could well be the song to take Ben's Brother to the forefront of the mainstream.
