The video from Lady GaGa’s ‘Telephone’ is like a bad Tarantino film with an average soundtrack. In the first half of this video GaGa repeatedly gets her ‘lady garden’ out in and itty bitty bikini adamant to prove she aint got a love pump!
Whilst she manages to prove this, she doesn’t manage to prove anything else... other than she has lost a considerable amount of weight and wears too much slap.
The second half of this video is even more catastrophic! Aside from some bad acting, and an unhealthy obsession with sandwiches (it was a surprise to see GaGa eating carbs!). It’s almost a travesty watching Beyonce bust out some hard core pop-rave dance moves, instead of her usual bootylicious bum shakes.
At just under 10 minutes long the video and song begins to grate, call me old fashion but i don’t think a pop video needs to do much more than some snazzy imagery, to accompany a great song. This track isn’t strong enough to carry a short film, particularly when it doesn’t relate to the lyrics.
GaGa purrs, ‘stop calling’, I don’t think she will have be worried about the phone ringing off the hook after her latest efforts.
