Frightened Rabbit have already impressed us with their first single "Swim Until You Can't See Land", released last year, but they refuse to waver in quality and have delivered their next track ‘Nothing Like You' with an even hookier, melodramatic sound than last time.
In this track, exciting riffs and refined melodies are fronted by the emotionally-driven vocals of Scott Hutchinson, reminiscent of fellow Scot, Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol.
A devilishy optimistic song about break-ups and finding new love delivers lyrics like "She was not the cure for cancer, and all my questions still ask for answers, there is nothing like someone new, and this girl she was nothing like you."
B-side track ‘Learned Your Name' creates an aura of simple desperation. It's a sad and slow affair but it's still much more than just an angsty weep-fest. It's too lovely not to love.
