Single Review: Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas

Oh how we love Katy Perry, she’s been kissing girls, blowing hot and cold and now she’s only gone and found herself waking up in Vegas…

And I mean, when you find out Katy Perry’s new single is about waking up in Vegas, what do we all expect? Gambling, lots of booze and possibly a wedding to a bloke she’s only just met?

Close enough… Katy prances around in a showgirl outfit and for some reason, takes and avid interest in poker whilst telling us all about her latest drunken exploits as she travels around the city of sin.

Singing about everything we’d exprct from a song about Vegas, the lyrics are pretty predictable, with sound effect of slot machines adding to the cheese factor, whilst lyrics like, "Did we get hitched last night? Dressed up like Elvis?" make us all want to spend a day or two in the neon city.
