Jessica Clemmons

Jessica Clemmons has returned with her brilliantly produced new EP 'What If'.

Opening with 'Love Like That', the Houston songstress lets fans know that she's still got the power to reach new levels of greatness, and sets her stall out for the rest of the EP.

'She Ain't Me' is a powerful and emotive blast at an ex-partner who's moved on to another relationship, and her attitude-laced Texas twang truly brings it to life with an incredible instrumental backing.

What's clear in the title track is that she can bring the pace down and really shine with powerful vocals that put the best country stars in the backseat. Jessica's completely in her own lane and her country-pop tunes do well to impress, with a relatability factor that's missing from a lot of stars' songs in the business today.

The swagger that's prevelant in 'Drunk On Me' sounds as if it's lifted straight from the soundtrack of Nashville - it's probably the track with the most country in from the whole record and it's a brilliant one.

Closing out the collection is 'Single Tonight' - where Jessica flirts with a male with "original sin",

Emotion packed and soulful, Jessica isn't a name that I'll be forgetting anytime soon, and if there's any justice in the world, she'll become a household name sooner rather than later.
