Alanis Morissette delivered a great album in the form of Havoc And Bright Lights earlier this year and now she is back with her new single Receive.
Guardian has already been a successful single release for the album and Morissette looks set to see that success continue with this new track.
Morissette has a knack for writing an infectious pop tune and Receive follows that fine tradition as it is an incredibly upbeat and catchy track.
The militant drum beat really drives this track forward and the intense lyrics are really brought to life by the rich arrangement.
There is no mistaking Morissette’s vocals as her voice is as unique and powerful as it always was and she continue to wear her heart on her sleeve with her music.
She packs the track with emotion and that really gives the song that extra depth as she sings about learning to live herself and having self confidence.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Havoc And Bright Lights yet then it is an album that you really should check out and Receive is just one of the great tracks on the record.
