The Band

The Band

I usually like Alternative Rock bands, with heavy beats and infectious choruses the genre is usually one of my music guilty pleasures. However, this song was a little too far over the line for me. It started out with a sombre introduction of gritty baselines and grungy guitars with outrageous feedback noise which isn’t really my eclectic taste.

The song isn’t bad but I think that the band could have more potential than what it is displayed in this current single. I may not have particularly liked the track but it has had many positive reviews from critics and the band is predicted popularity when they release their debut album at the end of this month.

Shout 4 Music had some positive things to say about the band ‘Strolling form jaunty stadium rock to a more sinister sound like it’s no big deal, this band are ones to watch out for in the latter half of the year.’

An even better review came from the Liverpool Echo and they commented by saying ‘Blessed with the ability to craft gnarly stompers that focus on the darker side of life, Clang Boom Steam hurtle through the abandoned stations of your mind, threatening to come off the tracks at any minute.’

Their self-titled debut album is out on the 22nd of July.
