Duo Salt Cathedral can only be described as a pop band for the 21st century. With their futuristic vibes bouncy and upbeat style the duo have teamed up with reggae vocalist Matisyahuto produce their debut track "Unraveling,".
Lyrics: And if you're looking to fight me, intermittently All I got for you is bread and flowers And if you're sitting beside me
Then let's embrace the love and live for each other And if you're looking to bring me down You won't find me, you won't find me at all I'm coming over to dance with you Make your body flow
This is Salt Cathedral's first collaboration with a guest vocalist and in a break from tradition it's Matisyahu's only collaboration with a woman.
The collaboration marks what can only be described as a pivotal moment in both of careers and the results are the subtle and stunning blending of two complimentary styles that stretch the boundaries of the electropop genre to a new level.
Salt Cathedral grew working with dancehall influences, Caribbean rhythms, and taking inspiration from their Colombian upbringing, the band have been collaborating on new material with artists across all genres including Assassin (of Kanye West's Yeezus and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly fame) and of course Matisyahu.
Now with their first full length album on the horizon for 2017 and having already earned millions of streams on Spotify and praise from Pitchfork, Vice, Rolling Stone, Consequence of Sound and more, Salt Cathedral are set to hit UK shores in the not too distant future.
