Lil Wayne Pays $1.13m Bill

Lil Wayne has settled a $1.13 million unpaid tax bill.

U.S. government officials filed papers in Dade County Florida Circuit Court last June alleging the Lollipop hitmaker owed income taxes from 2004, 2005 and 2007.

The documents were submitted while the star, real name Dwayne Carter, Jr., was part-way through his year-long gun possession sentence in New York's Rikers Island prison.

He was released from jail early, on 4 November - and less than three weeks later, on 24 November, he settled his tax bill in full, according to papers obtained by The Detroit News.
