Aerosmith Star Forced To Cancel Show

Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford has been forced to sit out the start of the band's forthcoming tour, after failing to recover from surgery in time.

Whitford will be replaced by former Green Day and Weezer rocker Bobby Schneck for the opening dates of Aerosmith's Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Presents dates.

The band is being supported by ZZ Top on the North American tour, which kicks off on Wednesday.

The nature of Whitford's surgery is unknown as we went to press.
