Green Day Re-Recording American Idiot With Broadway Cast

Green Day are set to re-release their hit album American Idiot, with added vocals from the cast of the group's spin-off Broadway musical.

The American Idiot Cast Album will feature actors from the hit musical singing their own renditions of tracks on the original album, in addition to songs from the band's most recent album, 21st Century Breakdown, which are also featured in the production.

Green Day and the American Idiot cast had previously re-recorded the band's track 21 Guns together for a download release. American Idiot the musical first opened last year in Berkeley, California and debuted on Broadway on 20 April.

The cast album is set for release on 10 May.
