Iggy Pop To Reform The Stooges

Iggy Pop is considering reteaming with guitarist James Williamson as The Stooges potential replacement for late rocker Ron Asheton.

Asheton, 60, died from a heart attack on 6 January - just months after reconciling with Iggy Pop for a Stooges comeback.

But the punk icon isn't going to let the tragedy wreck his reunion plans - he has been negotiating terms with Williamson, who played guitar on the band’s classic Raw Power album.

Pop tells FemaleFirst; "I had a meeting in L.A. last week with James. It was the first time we had seen each other in 30 years. So we talked about doing something together."
