Rolling Stones Hint At New Album Plans

Rock veterans the Rolling Stones have blasted retirement rumors - guitarist Keith Richards has revealed the band is poised to return to the studio to record a new album.

The group is currently resting between tours and have been rocked by allegations about bandmate Ronnie Woods' battles with addiction and tabloid coverage of his romance with a waitress 40 years his junior.

But Richards insists the Stones are still going strong, and they are plotting future tours and a new album.

He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "There's no definite plans, but I can't (see us) stopping. I wouldn't be surprised if we did some recording later this year."
