If you’re having a troublesome time of the month there is also a section that addresses common symptoms and can offer you tips and advice for you to get through them. App: Spending Tracker

Available On: i0S Devices

Price: Free

What is it?

Spending Tracker is an app that helps you monitor your spending on those months when you’re a little short of cash. You input your income and expenses for the month and the tracker helps you work out how much money you have for that gorgeous top you desperately want. The app even categorises these expenses and puts the statistics into charts so you can see where you need to cut back on your spending. Budget mode helps you to adhere to a budget when you’re trying to save up for that girly getaway or new car. The only negative aspect to this app is that you have to input all of your spending data yourself, which can be quite tedious, but if you are one of those people who finds it almost impossible to save money, then this could be the answer. There are also a variety of alternative versions available for Android smartphone users.

App: Find my Phone/iPhone

Available On: i0S Devices and Android

Price: Free

What is it?

Find my iPhone is and app made by Apple that, when also installed onto a computer, can be used to locate a lost or missing iPhone. Designed to protect iPhones from theft, this app allows the user to remotely find their phone on a map, make it play a sound, display a message, lock the device or erase all data on it. In addition to this, the user can also activate Lost Mode which locks the phone with a passcode and displays a contact number on the screen. While in Lost Mode, you can also check your iPhones location history to help you relocate it.

Find my Phone is the equivalent of Find my iPhone for Android. To activate the software, the user can text their phone from a computer which will make the device reply with its current locations address and a Google maps link to this location. You can also text your phone and having ring at full volume, like with Find my iPhone, and get notified if someone changes the phones SIM card. There is even an option to remote download the software onto your phone if you have already lost it, which beats having the massive weight of regret on your shoulders. The only real discrepancy between this and Find my iPhone is that you have to pay a one off fee for the Android version.

With the theft of mobile phones rapidly on the rise, this is exactly the sort of app that becomes and essential download on your phone, regardless to its make or model.
