Monaco's Andrea Casiraghi has become a father.
The 28-year-old royal, the son of Princess Caroline and her second husband, the late Stefano Casiraghi, and his fiancee Tatiana Santo Domingo - who he has been with for eight years - welcomed a son on Thursday (21.03.13), a statement from Monaco's Pink Palace confirmed.
It read: "The Princess of Hanover and Madame Vera Santo Domingo have the joy to announce the birth of their grandson, born on March 21, 2013. Both mother and the child are doing well."
Andrea's sister Charlotte Casiraghi introduced her brother to the Colombian-born heiress.
The couple - who live together in Paris - met when they were both studying in the French capital when Tatiana was Charlotte's classmate.
Andrea - who is the second in line to the throne after his mother - and Tatiana got engaged last year and are set to marry later this year.
The baby will be third in line to the Monaco throne.
