Actress Evan Rachel Wood has addressed her pregnancy in public for the first time, insisting she's always wanted to be a mother.
The True Blood star is expecting her first child with her British actor-husband Jamie Bell, who she wed in October 2012.
And now the usually-private actress has gushed about her impending parenthood.
She tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "I'm over the moon. Motherhood is my dream and my husband is always the one I wanted to do it with. I'm very happy!"
The baby news came as a surprise to fans after Wood had previously shut down rumours of a pregnancy just a month before making her official announcement in January.
Evan plays a Romanian woman in her latest movie 'The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman' and admitted getting the accent right was tricky as the budget for the indie drama did not stretch to a dialect coach.
"I had someone make some tapes for me... so on my lunch breaks I was in my trailer with the CD just trying to study it as much as possible. Then once I got [to Romania], I just tried to listen to the locals.
"Luckily, I was filming in the city I was supposed to be from, so if I got stuck on something I could just look at anybody and [ask], 'How do you say this? How does it sound?' and then I would mimic it. But it was difficult."
