Almost one in four guardians would be content to have alternative sexual practices like dogging and bondage talked about in schools, a survey has revealed.
What's more 77 per cent are happy for tutors to look at the relationship and emotional features of sex, while 84 per cent are accepting of them informing children about contraception.
800 mums and dads were questioned for the BBC2 programme Teachers TV Big Debate: Sex in the Classroom, which will be screened early next month.
Andrew Bethell of Teachers TV is quoted as saying in the Sun newspaper:Our research shows parents have their heads in the sand when it comes to their childs sex education and expect teachers to deal with it. It should be a joint responsibility.
