A study conducted by The Children's Society shows England at rank 14 for life satisfaction of its young people. The study included 15 countries from around the world in order to represent a diverse sample. Other countries such as South Africa, Ethiopia and Algeria were ahead of England while only South Korea was behind at rank 15.

The report gives detailed information about school-life in England, where a large percentage of children are being bullied and admit to feeling excluded by their peers. The report also ranked children's satisfaction with their bodies by country and gender; English girls presented an average satisfaction level of 7.3 and boys of 8.4 out of 10.

The charity called for increased funding for children's mental health. They also suggested a new law be implemented regarding counselling in schools.
