Caroline, Princess of Hanover was born by name of Caroline Louise Marguerite Grimaldi in 1957. She is the eldest child of Rainier III Prince of Monaco and American actress Grace Kelly.
She has two other siblings her brother Albert II, Prince of Monaco and Princess Stéphanie of Monaco. She has been heiress to the throne of Monaco since 2005; she previously held this position from 1957 to 1958.
Caroline is the estranged second wife of Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, the pretender to the former throne of the Kingdom of Hanover. When Caroline’s mother Grace Kelly died in 1982, she took the role as first lady of Monaco.
Caroline’s personal interests include swimming, horse riding and skiing. Also, since youth she has been considered an international style icon and as one of the best dressed women in the world.
