When you have an argument with your partner, it’s usually about the bills, the cleaning, how much football has dominated the TV this week but new research claims it’s the cushion that tops the Arguments hit list.
The site ManBuysPresent.com surveyed 1000 of its customers and found that for a staggering 71 per cent of them, cushions were the subject of most Arguments in their relationships.
The verdict came after men and women disagreed on the function of cushions in their homes.
Women believe that cushions can transform the look of a room as well as being comfy and looking nice.
Men, on the other hand, think they are a useless expense that waste time from having the constantly rearrange them every time you get up.
Another argument starter was the lack of effort when buying gifts. Sixty six per cent of those surveyed said that they often argued about the thought, or lack of, that had been put into buying gifts.
Sixty per cent of Couples said that the housework caused arguments, as well as 52 per cent of people claiming that who got in the shower first often caused conflict in the relationship.
Slightly less surprisingly was the amount of people that argued over the remote. Forty seven per cent of Couples said that they often argued over who got control over what to watch on TV.
